Analog Versus IP: It’s your choice
Analog cameras are traditional cameras, which are run on coax cables and connect to a recording device such as a digital video recorder (DVR).
Internet protocol (IP) cameras are run on ethernet cable and can connect to an existing ethernet network and allow the end user the choice of how to store recordings. IP cameras can be recorded to a local PC, a server or a storage array via the control software.
